In the waters of Glacier, you'll find trout, whitefish, kokanee salmon and arctic grayling. All bull trout caught MUST be released immediately to protect the species from extinction. No fishing license is required to fish inside the park, but please remember that adjoining waters (for instance, the North Fork and Middle Fork of the Flathead River) do require a license.
Please be aware that fishing regulations can differ on Glacier Country's two Native American Reservations. For instance, the Blackfeet Reservation requires a tribal permit for fishing in its many lakes. For more information about the Blackfeet Reservation, contact: Blackfeet Nation P.O. Box 850 ,Browning, MT 59417 406-338-7276. For more information about the Flathead Reservation, contact: Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes P.O. Box 278 Pablo, MT 59855 406-675-2700 or 800-634-0690.
